Chad Belew
A pastor more interested in awe than in being right.
Chad has spent more than a decade preaching against the fear-based version of faith he grew up inside — and staying anyway. The throughline of his work is a simple shift with enormous consequences: from fear of God to awe of God.
His teaching sits where psychology, theology, and ordinary human life meet — written and spoken to be useful whether or not you’ve ever set foot in a church. Fear narrows people; awe widens them. Most of what he does is an argument for the wider life.
He leads The Arsenal alongside his wife, Mari. When he’s not teaching on a Sunday, he’s usually writing about the same questions for a wider audience — or chasing them down with people over coffee in Southtown.
